We tell the stories of high school athletes who give everything to their sport. Every athlete has a story. We treat each one like it matters, because it does.

/Why We Exist

Spectator Sport Media started with a simple observation: the kids who work the hardest are usually the ones nobody films. National outlets cover the pros. Local papers are stretched thin. The athletes, teams, and communities pouring everything into Friday nights and Saturday mornings deserve someone in the stands with a camera and a notebook.

So that is what we do. We show up, we film, we listen, and we write it down. In-depth features on athletes who lead without the spotlight. Coverage of the events that define a season. Stories that honor the people around the game: the coaches, the officials, the superfans.

Every story carries a byline and a publication date, and athletes featured in our reporting carry that coverage with them on their own athlete profiles: a public record of a high school career, told with heart.

Trey Logan

Founding Journalist & On-Camera Host

Trey Logan covers high school athletics the way most newsrooms reserve for the pros: full features, sideline access, and a camera always rolling. The pull was a single athlete. Watching Porter Buck outwork everyone in the room and draw none of the recognition for it, Logan realized the kids who grind hardest are usually the ones no one bothers to film. So he started filming.

As Spectator Sport Media's founding journalist, he has since captured nearly all the footage behind every athlete and event the outlet has highlighted, shooting, reporting, and hosting on camera himself. His work ranges from sideline interviews to long-form profiles to the docushort Origins, built around standouts like Naia Tanuvasa and Buck.

A Lehi, Utah native, Logan played tackle football from first grade through tenth before pivoting to wrestling, qualifying for state both seasons he competed, and mountain biking. He reports from one conviction: every athlete has a story, not just the ones getting recruited.

Cosette Brockbank

Journalist, Reporter & On-Camera Host

Cosette Brockbank covers high school athletics for Spectator Sport Media through storytelling that goes beyond the scoreboard. Drawn to sports journalism by a passion for people and the moments that shape them, she believes every athlete has a story worth telling: not just through statistics and highlights, but through the grit, sacrifice, and character that define their journey.

She spends her time on the sidelines of football fields, basketball courts, and championship venues, reporting from games, conducting interviews, hosting on camera, and producing feature stories that spotlight athletes, coaches, officials, and communities. Her coverage has included profiles of athletes such as Georgia King, Aisa Galea'i, and Ryce Palepoi, along with stories honoring the often-overlooked people who make sports possible: the officials, fans, and coaches she regularly shouts out and surprises with gifts of appreciation.

Growing up in California, Texas, and Utah showed her how sports unite people no matter where you are. A journalist, storyteller, and state champion herself (in lacrosse), Brockbank is committed to creating media that inspires, reminding athletes through every interview and feature that their impact reaches far beyond wins and losses.
